Security Cameras

IP cameras are Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras that utilize Internet Protocol to transmit image data and control signals over a Fast Ethernet link. As such, IP cameras are also commonly referred to as network cameras. IP cameras are primarily used for surveillance in the same manner as analog closed-circuit television. A number of IP cameras are normally deployed together with a digital video recorder (DVR) or a network video recorder (NVR) to form a video surveillance system.

To help you take advantage of the reach and efficiency of digital IP networks, ABS offers new Panasonic IP-based cameras that can be easily incorporated into new and existing installations. These include fixed, mini-dome, P-T-Z, vandal-proof, and mega-pixel camera models.

Hybrid digital / analog cameras
To bridge the gap between analog and digital worlds, Panasonic also offers hybrid cameras that can be connected to conventional coax networks or Ethernet IP networks. The cameras include built-in coax connections, as well as a 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet connection.

For LANs, WANs, Virtual Private Networks, or Internet
All Panasonic IP cameras allow you to monitor and control the units via an IP-protocol network from a networked PC. The cameras can operate on multiple protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DHCP, and others, depending on model.

This flexibility allows you to utilize existing LANs, WANs, or Virtual Private Networks - and even the public Internet - to monitor remote locations without installing standalone video networks.
